Okay, so you are done with your work and you have just hit that “Print” button when all of a sudden the paper comes out blank and your inkjet cartridges won’t do their work. This is a very disappointing situation especially if you are in the middle of an important project.
Wait, you do not have to rant or call a technician right away since here are some troubleshooting tips that you can try on your inkjet printer.
1. Check the ribbon cable inside your printer which is attached to the container that holds an inkjet cartridge. It might have loosened a bit which caused the cartridge to stop functioning. Just keep it tight so that it won’t cause any interruption on your printing.
2. You can check your inkjet cartridge for any clogs since this can happen when you let it stay for a long time. Use a piece of cotton with a little amount of alcohol then rub it on the print head. After this, wipe the print head with a dry and clean towel. You can also use the cotton on the contact parts of the printer and cartridge to remove stains or dirt.
3. If your printer is creating weird sounds, there must be something wrong with the power system or the positioning of the cartridges. Check the power cable or try moving your printer to another good location like a sturdy table to see where the problem has started.
These are some tips that you can instantly do on your printer. If you think these are not enough and your printer has some serious damages, maybe you can seek professional help otherwise.
