In the complaint filed by Turbon International, a New Jersey company, it discussed that HP confirmed in December 2008 on providing cooperative contracts in manufacturing replacement cartridges. However, HP stopped the deal last January 2010 after Turbon systematically showed every complex detail of its business.
Turbon added that HP learned the importance of keeping its empty cartridges for its business and has shared to its customers the idea of recycling these instead which caused problems for the complainant. This action may trigger the problems on the business of Turbon and the remanufacturing industry as well if HP will not act upon it, as observed by Turbon.
Turbon International Inc. included the following damages on the case namely: fraudulent inducement, misappropriation of trade secrets and unfair competition, a ban on the use of improperly obtained secrets, and other remedies.
Meanwhile, Hewlett Packard has not replied on the case as of the moment and Turbon International did not release any other information about the filed suit.
