Printers show error messages occasionally that cause panic in a computer user especially when the error is something that’s hard to understand. When you are using an HP LaserJet printer and you encounter this problem, you do not have to be so alarmed.
Just know the real message behind the error code by referring to the common difficulties that are enlisted below.
1. Error 02-Warming Up
Turn off your printer and unplug it. Then turn it on once again and check if it returns to its normal printing condition. When it functions properly, there must be a problem on the driver or I/O cable of the computer or printer. If the error still appears, replace the formatter board.
2. Error 11-Paper Out
Check the paper tray if it is placed properly. Also make sure that there are no damages on the tray size actuating tabs. Inspect the paper sensors if there are any broken parts or defects.
3. Error 12-Print Open, no EP Cartridge
Make sure that the ink cartridge is installed properly. Also do not leave your top cover opened or lightly closed. You can also adjust your PCA or try to fix your power supply.
4. Error 13-Paper Jam
Always remember that paper jams happen because of three reasons namely entry, registration, and exit. Make sure that you properly feed the paper in the printer. Also check your software settings if you are using the right paper size. Lastly, maintain your printer to ensure that there are no worn out parts.
All printers have their flaws and difficulties at some point, so be sure to purchase the right one. You can also try other trusted printer parts like compatible inks and toner cartridges which are budget-wise and professionally made to avoid certain errors made by wrong choice of products.
