Printing images require a lot of printer cartridges especially if you want to create those bright colored pictures. However, aside from the ink cartridges or laser toners that you will use for printing, you must also have the perfect photo paper. Perfect photo paper, so how are you so sure that you actually have the ideal type for your printing?
Before you can actually answer that question, you must know first if you are going to do the traditional printing or the type that needs higher resolutions. If you wish to go for the traditional ones, there are three kinds of photo papers which are the paper for analogue photography, the material for Polaroid, and the one for the Cibachrome printing process.
But if you are just going to print using your personal laser printer or inkjet printer, you can stick to the usual glossy and matte types of photo paper. An advantage of the glossy ones is that it makes the images look realistic and livelier. On the other hand, the matte type would make your images look more traditional without the shiny effect of course.
Just keep in mind that you should try to feel the photo paper first before buying it since this is where you will put your images for a long time. Also, avoid the thick ones because, most of the time these papers cause paper jam on printers and these tend to eat up a lot of your printer cartridges too.
