General Solutions to Fix HP 4500 Color Toner Cartridge Issues

Have you tried cleaning toner cartridges, like wiping it with a cleaning cloth, vacuuming toner dust or sort of? Well, purchasing brand new replacements wouldn't give you the idea to suspect that it could either be damaged or dirty. However, these supplies are basically in a shelf or stock rooms for a long time from your suppliers so you can’t really be sure right.

General Solutions to Fix HP 4500 Color Toner Cartridge Issues
Print quality issues are mainly caused by printer consumables such as cartridges and drums (for laser types). Unless your unit is not in its most good condition to literally give you decent quality printouts due to irregular maintenance and cleaning.

There are few issues we've found particularly about the HP 4500 color laser printer with regards to its consumable. This machine has four HP 4500 color toner requirements which consist of the basic CYMK set. If any of these cartridges failed to perform properly, the unit will halt from working and errors may appear. Sometimes it is enough to take them out, re-install into their slots and luckily the machine works again. But that’s not always the case since there might be chances that you are required to do some thorough inspection and cleaning. Well instead of buying another set which for sure you know how much would costs if you don’t want to waste your hard-earned money then might as well try it.

Here are some of the color printing problems that you might face with HP 4500 series printers:

• Black prints instead of color
• Color mismatch and missing
• Inconsistent color results
• Faded or incorrect color shade

Those are just some of the extremely serious problems that you might come across after installing brand new replacements, either that’s an OEM (originally manufactured) or not. There are no exceptions or guarantee that using branded cartridges will save you from having these problems.

General Solutions:

If the machine is giving you only black prints, then check if the gray scale mode is enabled. More likely it is the case, simply turn the option off and try a test page.

Clean, always clean the printer, its components and consumables. Laser types often tend to accumulate toner dust inside, so you might need to set a regular cleaning schedule for the machine.

Check the level of toners each cartridge has, a warning should appear from the machine’s Control Panel indicating that Low Toner Level message.

If colors don’t match, run a printhead cleaning test and try printing a different colored file, would be better to test an image with minimal colors.
