The HP Color LaserJet 4730 is a series of multifunction printers that are equipped with advanced features that are designed to meet the high printing demands of large working environment. It can print up to 31 pages per minute for black-and-white printouts and 30 pages for colored printouts. It is engineered to deliver excellent quality printouts and graphics through its HP ImageRet3600 printing technology and its HP toners, HP 4730 toner cartridges: HP Q6460A black toner, HP Q6461A cyan toner, HP Q6462A yellow toner and HP Q6463A magenta toner.

Print Cartridges Life Expectancy

The HP 644A toner cartridges: HP Q6460A black toner, HP Q6461A cyan toner, HP Q6462A yellow toner and HP Q6463A magenta toner, offer high printing page capacities of up to 12,000 pages for both monochrome and colored printouts at 5% coverage or text-based document printing. Its installed life can last up to 12 months, while its storage life can last up to 28 months.

Checking the Print Cartridge Life

• Step 1 - Using the MFP control panel
  
• Step 2 - Press MENU.
• Step 3 - Touch INFORMATION.
• Step 4 - Touch PRINT SUPPLIES STATUS PAGE

Using the embedded Web server

• Step 1 - In a browser, enter the IP address for the printer home page. This brings up the printer status page.
• Step 2 - On the left side of the screen, click Supplies Status. This brings up the supplies status page, which provides print cartridge information.

Changing Print Cartridges

When the print cartridges installed in your HP Color LaserJet 4730 series printer is about to lose its toner,

the control panel will automatically display a message for you recommending to order a replacement. Your machine can continue printing until the control panel displays a message instructing you to replace the cartridges immediately.

The HP Color LaserJet 4730 uses four different print cartridges for each color: black (K), magenta (M), cyan (C) and yellow (Y).

• HP Q6460A  = black (K)
• HP Q6463A  = magenta (M)
• HP Q6461A  = cyan (C)
• HP Q6462A  = yellow (Y)

Replacea print cartridge when the MFP control panel displays a REPLACE < COLOR > CARTRIDGE message. The control panel display will also indicate the color that should be replaced if a genuine HP cartridge is currently installed.
