Steps to Replace Brother TN450 Toner in Brother DCP-7060D

  • Step 1 – Make sure that the Brother DCP-7060D laser printer is turned on.
  • Step 2 – Open the front cover and leave the machine turned on for 10 minutes to cool down so you can avoid yourself from being burn by any hot components inside the printer.
  • Step 3 – Take out the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly by holding your Brother machine with one hand and holding the drum unit with the other hand.  Pull the drum unit toward you and lift it up.
  • Step 4 – Push down the green lock lever and take the toner cartridge out of the drum unit.
  • Step 5 – Unpack the new toner cartridge. Hold the cartridge level with both hands and gently shake it from side to side several times to spread the toner evenly inside the cartridge.
  • Step 6 – Pull off the protective cover.
  • Step 7 – Put the new Brother TN450 toner cartridge firmly into the drum unit until you hear it lock into place. If you put it in properly, the green lock lever will lift automatically.
  • Step 8 – Clean the primary corona wire inside the drum unit by gently sliding the green tab from left to right and right to left several times.
  • Step 9 – Put the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly back into the machine. Close the front cover.
After these steps, make sure to do some printing tests on your laser printer to guarantee that the toner cartridge is properly installed.
